these sensors are complete garbage. I can't count the number of times they fail, lose connection, ask for calibration. I'm sticking with the Libre sensors, which aren't perfect but do the trick with a back up glucose testing. I don't recommend,wasting your time trying to get these to work. I've always used Medtronic products, but trash is trash

Have you checked out the new Libre 2 just available in the US? It is blutooth and have real time alerts!
I'm done, Guardian sensors just aren't ready for prime time. I'm sending back unused boxes after either 7 of last 9 or 8 of last 10 failed (much easier to count successes than failures). The worst part was being told I had used up my allotment of replacements. Seriously? Make a decent product and you won't have to list replacement sensors on the front page of your website.
It will be nice to sleep again without faulty alarms, poorly calculated blood sugar guestimates, and never ending beeps to check blood sugar within minutes of having just done it. Your finger tips will thank you for avoiding this one…
so tired from CGM waking me up frequently between 2-4 am. Sensor lasting 4-5 days is annoying but the ALARMs and required calibration s all the time. !! I just want a CGM that works without making me exhausted . The Medtronic Guardian 3 CGM and the 670g

I wish this were less common, but this is largely life with the Guardian 3.
Being savvy, making sure to calibrate before bed helps.
Not calibrating too often either, that can cause unneeded requests for more calibrations.
but the biggest drawback to this system is that it is very bossy.
Many people prefer the Dexcom G6 for exactly this reason, no calibrations, and alert levels can be time specific to avoid night time disturbances.
This sucks compared to Decom. The ace sits do not last 7 days, if you release them in blood areas they do not work. My insurance slots 7 days per unit. They never lasts that long leaving me short of time covered. I have used Deacon which works better but not compatible. I reached out to Medtronic's and they issued me a "one time exception". I'm still having the same problem. I have used CTGM for a wile. This is the worst. Even with training. Inferior as far as I'm concerned as far as I'm concerned. Make Deacon compatible. This sucks.
I couldn't agree more. I am not impressed with this at all. I am constantly having issues within the very first day of my sensor going bad and then having some issues getting replacements. I spend too much money on the product for them not to replace all faulty sensors. I have heard dexcom was much better than the guardians and my doctor told me that if things don't get better he is going to switch me to dexcom but the only downfall is that it's not compatible with my pump. This is really upsetting.

I wish your feelings were less common.
Dexcom does make an easier to live with CGM system. It is compatable with the Tandem X2 pump's Control IQ HCL coming this fall and Tandem is offering a "buy out" program for users under warranty with other systems. It might be worth a look, depending on your financial situation.
We also work with patients to help them learn more about the ins and outs of their Medtronic devices to be able to find increased success in using them.
